About us: Our Mission

Woman near a well watching the sunrise

Our name, El Roi, is inspired by the story of Hagar in the Book of Genesis (Genesis 16). As an enslaved woman who had been mistreated and marginalized, Hagar fled into the desert feeling abandoned and unseen. Yet, in this vulnerable moment, God met her at a spring along the road to Shur, spoke a promise over her life, and affirmed her worth. In response, she called God “El Roi,” the God Who Sees, and in that moment, though overlooked by society, Hagar felt seen, heard, and empowered.

In that same spirit, we are dedicated to creating spaces where individuals who are overlooked by society because of their circumstances, diagnosis, or life experiences can be truly seen, heard, and empowered. Using music as our main resource, we strive to create sessions that are individualized to meet clients where they are, fostering connection, expression, and meaningful growth.

We nurture self-agency and personal growth through active musical engagement.
